Join us for a relaxed Cyfarthfa Community Picnic in the Park on Saturday 20th June from 11:30am – 2:30pm, set against the beautiful lakeside backdrop of Cyfarthfa Park.
Bring your family, friends, neighbours, picnic blankets, chairs, and your favourite food and drinks for an afternoon of community, conversation, and outdoor fun.

As part of National Picnic Week, we're celebrating the simple pleasure of spending time in our local green spaces and encouraging everyone to make the most of Cyfarthfa Park throughout the summer.
If you can, please consider walking, wheeling, or cycling to the event. It's a great way to enjoy the park from the moment you arrive, and helps us keep the area welcoming and accessible for everyone.
A few quick notes to help you prep:
Check the forecast: This is an outdoor event, so please dress and prepare for whatever the weather decides to do! Keep an eye on our social media where we'll update on any changes.
Parking: Please use the main car park next to the Bothy. To help keep everyone safe, please do not park on the drives. If you have additional access requirements there is some parking near the park entrance.
Food: Pack your favourite sandwiches and snacks, but please note no BBQs are allowed.
Grab a blanket or a couple of camping chairs and head on down. Feel free to pop by for twenty minutes or stay for the whole afternoon.
